Blake sighed and looked down at the crumpled piece of paper in his hand again, readjusting his grip on the folder containing his paperwork as he looked around at the flowing crowd and then back up at the building before him in consternation. The pit-bull had just moved to the city looking for a fresh start after a bad break-up that had torpedoed an admittedly failing college run, all of his stuff still in his car back at his 'apartment'...if you could call the glorified closet an apartment. “Hope this fucking ad is worth it...Savings aint gonna last long and the way that shrew was looking at me, expecting a helping hand might not...no it would probably get me exactly what I expect.”he grumbled to himself, looking down at the ad again. The ad was pretty clear. 'Business Owner seeking Strong Male Personal Assistant. Must be Dominant, Assertive and Able bodied. Able to take and give orders in stressful situations, Respond Promptly to inquiries and requests, as well as make judgment calls when the Owner is indisposed. Previous experience is optimal but non-essential. Resumes may be given to the receptionist. Interested Applicants may apply in person at 2404 Vandwell Drive, Interviews start at 11:30. Inquire in the Lobby for Gower Incorporated'. Blake admittedly had found it odd that he had found a legitimate enough seeming job posting, though the fact that it was a paper listing for such a formal sounding job seemed odd...and there was the fact that it read like a dating ad. The area looked respectful enough;the landscaping was clearly regularly maintained, the people bustling about were clearly dressed for business, and it wasn't like the place was out of the way or not well maintained. He looked down at his outfit again, growling softly to himself that he hadn't had something that suited him better, feeling like the aged navy blazer and white slacks on his almost jet black fur was trying too hard...or maybe not hard enough...He had no fucking clue how this shit worked . 'Fucking should of at least rented a cheap suit. Least I can do is go in and put my foot in the door...not like this is my only option...today.' He thought to himself, stepping up to the door and sweating a little as the baboon at the door opened it for him and waved him in politely. 'I'm out if it's a big cat with trophies...any Hunting breed of canine...or a Deer. Not about to get stalked through the woods and stuffed in some dudes den'. He shuddered for a moment at the sudden shift to air-conditioning from the mild environment outside before scanning the lobby for a reception desk. The lobby of the building was massive, the constant but soft sound of the ornate water feature dominating the center of the floor and the first two floors above as well as the almost imperceptible subsonic hiss of the air-conditioning setting him even further on edge from his already present sense of dread. “Don't freak out, Be confident. You got this. You're a strong, smart individual. This is just the lobby desk. You can get through this part at least” He reminded himself, stepping up to the desk. The woman closest to him at the desk, a young-ish looking mare, continued typing something before looking up at him and smiled warmly. “Good morning, How can I help you?” She asked, her eyes creasing softly as she looked him over politely. “Yeah...I...Umm...”He said softly, before coughing into the hand he had the flier in before realized he still had the flier in his hand...and was just standing there...like a fucking goober. He closed his eyes, breathing deep for a moment and, quote unquote, put on his big boy pants. “Yes, I'm looking for Gower Incorporated?”He said with much more confidence, looking down at his watch....11:18. “I was told this was the location to inquire?” The mare, Meadow from what the plaque in front of him he finally figured out to read, nodded and smiled. “Of course. If you'll give me just a moment, sir, I'll get you a temporary passcard. I just need a legal form of identification.”She said softly, waiting patiently as Blake fumbled between the folder in one hand and the ad in the other before stuffing the ad in his pocket to pull out his wallet, thumbing out his drivers license onto the counter. He blushed furiously as he handed it to her, though she made no comment before looking down at the screen in front of her, clicking and typing away for a few moments before a small printer next to her spat out a card that she then proceeded to hand to him, gesturing with her free hand to a set of glass elevators that dominated the wall to her left and behind the desk. “If you'll just head over to the first elevator there and swipe that card, the floor you'll want is the Penthouse. Best of luck up there.” “T-thank...Ahem...Thank You, Meadow. Have a very pleasant day.”He said a little more tersely than he had intended, nodding in response to her wishing him the same in kind, hurrying away in an attempt to not seemingly make more of an ass of himself. “Penthouse Floor...Of Course...This is obviously a horror movie...I'm gonna Die. Gonna walk out of the elevator and the receptionists are going to be twin albino wolves or some shit that are gonna watch me and move in tandem and all that creepy shit.” He grumbled in his head, swiping the card and watching as the doors opened silently, revealing the warmly lit interior of the elevator, the pit-bull stepping in with a soft huff. The pit-bull sighed again as he turned, smoothing a non-existent wrinkle in his shirt out before looking at the buttons on the elevator with worry for a moment before noticing there were all of four buttons. He bit his lip as he pressed the top most button, biting it harder as it jolted softly and quickly started him up towards where he would be going. It was a tense feeling as he went up, the canid kicking himself for having done no research on this place beyond finding out where the hell it was and what bus route it was near. It had been what seemed like an eternity to Blake before the elevator ceased its upward climb, coming to a much gentler stop than it had started before the doors opened up with just as little fan-fare as before. The lobby he saw before him was modest, a few admittedly expensive looking office plants dominating the corner beside the desk, of which there was only one, and behind which sat a rather kind looking old crow. Blake stepped off the elevator, stepping the few feet between the doors and the desk.“Welcome to Gower Industries Incorporated dear, how can I help you?”She asked, looking for a moment between Blake's face and the folder he held. Blake looked nervously down at his watch, noting the time...11:24 “Why does everyone keep doing that? Do I look that bad?”he thought angrily to himself before he shook his head and nodded. “Yes, I'm here for the interview? I hope I'm not too early, eheheh.”He said, before remembering the ad and fumbling with the folder in his hand, pulling out the, to his hindsight, painfully thin looking resume. “I brought a resume as requested.” 'Of course it was requested, who the hell gets a job without a resume...who the fuck gets a job in a place like this off of a paper ad...I'm going to die, oh god I'm gonna die.'The pit-bull internally fretted, almost not letting the resume go as the crow took it, doing so after a few moments. The crow, if she had noticed his hesitation, didn't comment and simply set his resume down on top of a very...very daunting looking pile of other resumes. “Why thank you dear. If you'll just head on through the door there, the meeting room you want will be on the left. The right is closed for cleaning.”She said with a soft little chirp, before going back to...knitting it seemed. The pit-bull couldn't help but laugh in his head at that one as he did as he was bidden, stepping through the door. He had stepped through into a hallway, blinking softly as the light got much more sanitized, the hallway seeming even colder as the light reflected off the frosted glass wall that made up the hallway. He couldn't see much at the opposite end of the hallway, the end capped off with the only solid chunk of wall that Blake could see from this side of it, the middle dominated by a severe looking pair of mahogany doors. He looked to his left as he had been bidden, noticing the meeting room was dark inside. He cocked his head, looking to the right and seeing the room on the right lit up, a figure inside...though from the look of it through the frosted glass, the figure was sitting at the table in the middle. "Well, that’s weird. Wonder if maybe the cleaning guy is taking a break? Fuck, I would too if I had to clean a place this nice and there's nobody on my ass to be working the whole time."he thought to himself, curiosity getting the best of him as he walked up to the doors leading into the lit up meeting room, his paw trembling in the chill of the hallway before he gripped the handle of the door and pulled it open, peeking his head inside. From his point of view he could see both sides of the ends of the hallway, though he could not for the life of him figure out what else was in there the moment he looked out across the table and saw the view, his mouth honestly hanging open as he marveled at just how far it stretched for an indeterminate amount of time. He had been staring long enough in fact for the person that had been in the room had the opportunity to sneak up next to him and blow in his ear. Blake yelped a little more loudly than he would have liked, jumping and letting the door swing shut on his foot with a not so quiet thud. He yelped again to the uproarious laughter of the figure inside, deep cackles coming through the cracked door. He growled, yanking the door open to confront the figure. “The fuck's your damage?”He shouted as he looked into the room...and up...and up. The figure that had snuck up on him easily dwarfed him by two feet, a bear-canid hybrid...though he couldn't quite place what mix...the fucker was so big it could be any number of a lot of breeds. The MUCH larger anthro laughed, lifting their chin and staring down at the 5'8 purebred. “Aw honey, we ain't got time for me to lay all them bones out.”He, at least he thought the big fuck might be a dude...couldn't quite tell with just the sheer...volume...of fur and the size of the figure and he wasn't gonna be THAT asshole just cause he was mad, said with a kiss and a wink before turning on a heel and marching back to where they had been sitting, kicking back and putting their feet up on the table, lacing their paws behind their head. “Suffice to say...it amused me. I do a lot of things because they amuse me...whatcha gonna do about it...short-shit?”. The hackles rose up before he closed his eyes, breathing in deep through his nose and then out through his mouth slowly and calmly. "Calm Blake...Dude has like...six feet and probably 300 lbs on you...He would throw you out the window easier than you could blink...Think about this."He thought to himself, perking ears and brow ever so slightly at the little flare of the nose the hybrid gave at his little breathing regiment. "Interesting...Big guy doesn't seem to like that...". He filed that away, letting his temper chill for a moment. “Not a damn thing. Not gonna jeopardize a potential job by responding to some troll. Guessing from your attitude you surely can't work here and I...”He said, looking at his watch again and biting his lip. 11:28...”Would like to possibly do so myself. So if you'll excuse me, I'll be waiting where they said to”. He didn't wait for a response, not expecting anything respectful. He turned on his heel, making his way into the other meeting room despite it being dark, the view being just as amazing on the other side of the hall. He looked around for a moment, not being sure where the light switch might be. "Fucking rich fucking executives...gotta make everything aesthetically perfect, even if aesthetically perfect is ass in function sometimes."He thought to himself, stepping into the room and looking around harder. It wasn't pitch dark thankfully, but the muted light didn't make finding things easier. “Well well...look at you, lad dee da...Mr Dutiful and Assertive, doing what they all tell him to.” Came that voice again, Blake growling despite his best efforts as he kept looking. “Aye...The ad was for 11:30 in THIS room. We were not told to wait in the other room. Now if you're going to do anything with that big mouth and fat hands, put them to work helping me find the damned light-switch so we don't look like dumb-asses sitting in the dark.”He barked authoritatively before biting his tongue, realizing it wasn't his place to order people around...even if they were being brats. He didn't wait for a response, searching one end of the long meeting room for the switch, sparing only a glance over his shoulder. He let out a sigh and turned his attention back to the wall as he spotted the large hybrid watching him seemingly reproachfully, making no motion to help. He ignored the seeming slight, hunting the wall until he found what looked like a set of switches and a knob. “Found it...no than-”He started with a little growl before choking it off and shaking his head, breathing deep again and letting the anger wash away. “No problem”. He took the nearest chair, sitting down and marveling for a moment at how nice it was before he looked down at his watch. 11:30. He looked up, blinking as he realized that he didn't see the hybrid anywhere. "Fucking god, how the hell did they...they're almost eight feet fucking tall...dude should sound like earthquakes fucking when they walk..."He thought to himself, folding his hands in front of him and waiting patiently. He hummed quietly to himself, thinking about his future. If this interview worked out, and he got the job somehow...He'd be able to afford a better car and apartment...maybe be able to actually have a social life this time outside of parties. Go back to school eventually, get a degree in...something...and try to live comfortably. "That would be the most realistic outcome...would love to just have a ‘Hey, I'm an old rich guy with no kids...will you be my surrogate son' fall into my lap but..."he thought to himself, before thinking about the likeliest way that would pan out. "Fat chance of that though. Gotta stick to the plan. Get a good job, get stable. Nothing else matters". He drummed softly on the table, lost in thought about what he could do with just a little bit of stability in his life...a little bit of structure...He didn't want to fail and up in some hood. He wanted to be something...to be able to show that he could do a good job...that he was a good boy... After what seemed like an eternity, his reverie was interrupted by the sound of a door shutting at the end of the hall, the pit-bull looking over his shoulder to make sure it wasn't one of those weird sound things. He didn't spot anyone else having come in, which meant...His suspicions were confirmed as he saw a massive shadow trudging its way down the hall from the end that held the...not-reception area. “Ceo Office. Has to be...Which means...Oh fuck, are we interviewing with the CEO directly? Who the fuck does that? Does this guy not have people for that?”. His thoughts were interrupted by the hybrid entering the room, throwing themselves into a chair with a sigh. “Goddamn these chairs are comfy. That little old bastard knows how to keep people happy, I'll tell you what.”The hybrid laughed, kicking his feet up and leaning back with a creak. Blake sighed, looking down at his watch. 12:15. He drummed his hands on the table again, blowing out air through his mouth softly. He could feel the hybrid watching him, the creak of the chair unnerving him a little. He didn't know what their deal was, or why they felt like they could just act however they wanted, but it wasn't his place to say. He wasn't the hybrid's boss. “Yea...Pretty sure I've got this interview thing in the bag...Little mid-life crisis fuck was wrapped around my finger...gonna have myself a nice cushy office...aint gonna do shit...gonna be great.” The pit-bull put his head in his hands, closing his eyes and breathing slowly and softly. "In for eight, Out for Three. In for Eight. Out for Three. You are not your feelings, You are not your desires. You are you. Nothing can affect your mind that you don't allow."He thought to himself as the hybrid continued on about how they would use the paycheck from the position for...unclear but clearly hedonistic aims. What little patience he had was wearing thin, and the moment he heard the hybrid mention ‘Running off with the little poofs bank account', he had had enough. Blake couldn't help himself but bark angrily at the hybrid's continuous and seemingly open and callous disregard for anything but his own comfort, the pit-bull slamming his hands to the table and looking the hybrid in the eye. “Enough. We get it. Clearly you've got some net or something and don't ACTUALLY have to be here. Don't need to hear about it. Some of us are here because they have to be...now...”He said, his hackles raising as he looked down at the table, ignoring the sound of the hybrid getting out of the chair they were in and stomping over, looming over the pit-bull. “And what...again...are you going to do about it, short shit? My word against yours, and he already LOOOOVES me. You gonna hit me? Better make it count.''The hybrid said, their massive paws gripping the back of the chair and squeezing, the leather and frame creaking audibly beneath their efforts, leaning in over the chair. “Maybe the widdle puppy wuppy is gonna woll ovew cause a big mean buwwy told him what to do...Yea, I bet that's it...I can smell it on ya, and see that little tail of yours trying not to wag...You'd like that huh? If I just grabbed you, threw you onto the table and just...”. The hybrid was pushing his buttons, knowing they had already gotten him on the back foot socially and emotionally, and he could almost feel the hybrid's muzzle pressing against his ear, the hot breath washing over him and causing him to shiver despite himself. "Dont. Get. Mad...Dont. React."He said softly to himself in his head, resisting the urge to slam his head back and figure out how to use the chair to bash the massive fuck with. It took everything in him to fight the urge, knowing if he did he would be failing himself and failing everyone that had helped him not be that angry little puppy any more. “No. Even if he doesn't believe me, Someone has to tell him what you're saying so they know not to trust you.”He said with as much confidence as he could muster and pushed the chair back, scarcely noticing the fact that it rolled back with no issue despite the fact that the hybrid should have been in the way. He didn't wait again, marching out the doors and down the hall towards the thick mahogany of the doors of what he presumed was the office of the man he was here to see. It took him a few moments before he reached them, breathing deep as he reached out and wrapped a paw around the wrought iron handle and pulled it open, surprised at how effortless it was...and not noticing the face that the knob he had used was the higher of two. "I'm Ready. No Hesitation...No regrets. You are confident...You are Strong". He steeled himself, the fire in him rising as he stepped through. The office, to put it lightly, was massive. Taking up the latter half of the top of the building, the walls comprising the room that he hadn't come through were entirely glass, the relatively low ceiling putting off a soft glow. The room was...sparse wasn't the right word...There wasn't much, but what was there was deliberate, the center of the room leading up to the desk where he assumed the C.E.O was sitting being dominated by a series of plinths and podiums holding statues or paintings and a long carpet, the distance between the walls to his sides and the plinths being entirely empty save for the marble floor. Blake couldn't help but look at each item as he walked towards the desk, curious at just what kind of tastes this guy had. Each item was...Blake wasn't an art critic so he wasn't sure how good any of this stuff was, but each one looked great to him...though as he walked he noticed a running trend with the items. Marble, Clay, Painting...Each item showed a regal figure in positions that showed dominance and control, clearly the focal point of the art...but to a one, each one had some little indication that as important as the central figure was...he was beholden to someone else. He hadn't noticed how close he had been getting to one of the statues closest to the desk until he heard a sharp and short whistle, the pit-bull yelping quietly and jumping, the paw that had been reaching up reflexively to stroke at the collar around the statue’s… a corgi...neck. “Would be much obliged if you didn't. Won't break anything, just don't like my things being touched.”Came a quiet, gruff voice from behind the desk, the chair still facing away. Blake whined softly at the embarrassment of being caught while he wasn't even being watched, the pit-bull straightening back up again and focusing on the desk as he started walked again, his paws flexing and unflexing nervously, noticing one final podium that had been difficult to see from behind the chair, though what was actually on it was still difficult to see. “If you're here for the interview, Be on your way. I've seen enough to make a call.” Blake felt the room suddenly get colder and his pulse quicken, the pit-bull feeling nauseous at the seeming implication that he had messed up already somehow. He felt his nails digging into his palms marching up to the desk in abject embarrassment, standing there for a few moments and breathing nervously before starting to turn away before the situation out in the meeting...waiting...whatever rooms came back to the fore-front. “I understand sir. I can't expect you to look at me favorably for trying to touch what is likely art worth more than most of my family going back three generations. I can only hope that you'll understand that...I've not been exposed to it often.”He said, stepping up to the desk, his brow perking as he looked down at the desk and noticed a key. He cocked his head before pushing through the momentary confusion. “I know it's not exactly my place to complain about other applicants, but the previous...applicant is currently out there making remarks that are quite unbecoming of someone expecting a position of such importance.”The pit-bull stated plainly, knowing he might be making the situation worse. The pit-bull looked up from the desk at the chair, his eyes boring into the back of it before his eyes traced upwards for a moment, alighting on the plinth behind the chair before his attention was drawn back down by the sound of the chair turning around. “Mr...”The figure said, Blake now noticing that the gruff voice had been coming from a much smaller figure than he had expected...the corgi opening the folder and looking momentarily through the paperwork. “Defrancesco. Your interest in the position has been noted, I don't feel the issue needs to be pressed further. The interview, as it were, is over. I have seen everything I'm going to.”The corgi said with no seeming interest or emotion in the situation, closing the folder and turning his chair back around, leaving the pit-bull standing there, functionally with his dick in his hand. Blake couldn't help himself but growl, both his paws coming down on the desk as he started burning holes in the back of the chair. It seemed like the corgi didn't care that the dude was out there talking like he was gonna embezzle everything out of the company, and here he was trying to hire an assistant and...was ignoring the point of an assistant. “Sir, please at least give me the assurance that you'll look into this and be careful. I'm sure they wouldn't get off with much, but even a small loss is a loss.” The corgi gestured out with a paw dismissively, the pit-bull feeling the fire burning higher in him as anger boiled in his mind. It made no sense to him that he seemed so flippant, the pit bull looking up past the chair out the window...and at the plinth behind the desk. It was one of those glass cases that protected super fragile items, a thick padlock locking it closed. The item inside confused the pit-bull...a modest sized pup-hood, made of stark black and white materials. He knew people that had them, and they could be expensive...but even through the glass...even from where he was...he could see that expensive was a modest term. The pit-bull turned around, looking at the art and thinking about the hood...the information slowly clicking into place. He could easily be misreading the situation and he could just be digging an already fucked grave deeper...lots of guys had dominant art...and kept pup hoods on hand...surely. Blake bit his lip for a moment before breathing deep, closing his eyes and wrapped his fingers around the key and looking intently at the chair, the sound of the key scraping softly on the desk as he gripped it between trembling fingers. “Turn the chair around and come here, now.”He said with as much authority as he could muster, swearing he could feel the room growing colder again. The chair turned around slowly, the creak seeming to be deliberately drawn out, the corgi stopping and lacing his fingers together on the desk in front of him, looking with just as much intent as the pit-bull was back. “Pardon?”he said, the weight of his gaze falling heavy on the pit-bull. Blake swallowed hard before he let out a soft little growl, his free hand coming up in front of him and crooking a finger for a moment before pointing at the ground. “Come. Here...Now, Pup.” The corgi blinked, looking between the pit-bull and the key before pushing...or rather using a knob on the arm of the chair to back away from the desk, turning it and stepping down from the chair and making the slow trek around the desk to come stand before Blake. It wasn't until then that Blake realized just how much taller he was than this guy, how easily HE could be the one that wrapped this dude around his finger...he was a pit-bull...he could easily bully the guy into doing whatever the fuck it was he wanted. He pushed that thought down as the corgi came to stand before him, Blake noticing that the corgi's arms were laced behind his back...and his tail was wagging furiously. Blake breathed deep again, rubbing the key between his fingers before holding it out to the corgi, the other pointing to the hood. “Unlock the case and bring the hood here now, do not put it on.”He said softly but firmly, keeping his tail as still as he could as he watched the corgi do just as he was ordered, marching around the desk as he was bidden, opening the case with care and lifting the hood out, marching back around again and standing before Blake, the hood held in both his hands. “You will tell me just what the hell your plan here is, and you will not argue”. He watched the corgi's tail stop for a moment before starting back up just as furiously, the corgi's ears submissively flattening. He didn't know why but something about that made him feel...happy, the pit-bull stepping up closer and smiling wryly as the corgi let out a small whimper as he did. “I don't like repeating myself...Listening the first time is how good boys do things.” The corgi whined, his paws gripping tighter at the hood as Blake teased him, his gaze fighting between looking up at the pit-bull and down at the hood, the happy middle of staring straight ahead and nervously flicking his eyes up being how the smaller male's psyche handled the urges. “You are the first person to come in here and actually pay attention. I've been holding these interviews for a while now, and nobody else has...has put two and two together.”He said softly, his tiny thumbs rubbing the back of the hood. “Understand that this isn't just...just about this. There is an actual job to be offered here as my assistant...just...this is what the ad was really about. We can draft up the terms of our...arrangem-”. The corgi was silenced by the pit-bull stepping up and gripping the corgi tight by the muzzle. Blake shook his head, crouching down and looking the corgi in the eye. “Enough. Thought that ad was weird enough anyways. There are...”he started to say before stopping, licking his lips softly and looking down at the hood. “No more talking. Put the hood on, and do as I say.”He said, standing and making his way around the desk to the chair the corgi had been sitting in. From the look of it, it would be a somewhat snug fit if he sat down but he surely could. He turned to sit down, finding that in the time he had walked around the desk the corgi had slid the hood on and was standing at the ready behind him, the hood looking...almost regal above his suit, the corgi's tail probably racking up a very nice bill for his seamstress. With a small huff, he sat himself down in the chair and crossed his legs, smiling warmly and patting his lap. “Crawl up on my lap, be careful of course. Only things I want to hear out of you are one bark for yes and two for no, any other noises are to be purely 'feral' unless I give leave otherwise, understood?”The pitbull asked with a perked brow, watching the corgi's eyes glitter as he barked happily once and bounded up onto the pit-bull's lap, fidgeting in place till he could curl up and rest, though Blake could easily see that the corgi's eyes were looking up at him. He let out a small chuckle and started petting the corgi, the feeling of the smaller male sighing happily rumbling through him. “First off...The hybrid out there...They are in on this?”The pit-bull asked, his lips curling back in a relieved grin as the corgi barked once. He hadn’t been wrong and the corgi wasn’t about to be milked for a lot of money...at least not that way. “Good, Would have hated to have to have kung-fu’d them later”. He hummed softly as he looked out over the city, wondering to himself just what this all meant for him. “Just to clear the voice in my head out of the way about it, you aren’t going to be hunting me through the woods for sport in some sick game of cat and mouse because you’re rich and bored and have hunted everything but anthropomorphic beings?”. He had to bite his lip to keep from nervously laughing...and then sweating...as the corgi started up at him for several tense seconds before winking and barking twice. Blake had to bite his lip for other reasons after that, playfully but forcefully swatting the corgi on the ass and eliciting an adorable little yelp. “Yea...Keep up the cute shit and a gentle little swat is the least you can expect. Next question...Am I expected to fuck you?”. The corgi looked up at him, his brow furrowing through the mask as he whined softly, a paw coming up to rub at the muzzle of the mask. “Speak pup.” “Sex is not expected, needs met there, will greatly appreciate such desires being met.”The corgi said before laying his head back down against the pit-bull, Blake starting to rub even more happily at him, the other paw coming around to stroke and scratch at the space between his suit and the hood, and sending his tiny little feet kicking before he let out a sigh Blake sighed in kind, his paw stroking away gently. “Y'know...I still don't know what the fuck your name is.”
