A pair of twin fox cubs were at an outdoor wedding reception grabbing food from the buffet. Everyone was in formal wear due to the event, with the men in sharp black tuxedos and women in elegant colorful dresses. Jake and Anne had just finished loading up their plates and were about to head back to the picnic table. As they made their way through the crowd, they spotted their older brother sitting alone at one of the tables. Nick's head was propped up on his arm as he stared down picking at his food. It looked as if every muscle on his face was relaxed, looking bored out of his mind. He had tried to get their mom to let him babysit so they could all stay home, but she insisted on dragging them along. At this point, he was just wondering how much longer he had to wait before he could go home. While the pre-teen was busy sulking, Jake went over and sat down next to him. Their sister tried to get situated across from the boys, though it turned out to not be so easy. Sitting her plate down, she grabbed the sides of her dress and lifted them up so she could get her legs over the seat. Once she could finally sit down, she started to complain. "Man I hate wearing this stupid thing." "Psh, mine and Jake's clothes aren't much better." Nick replied, "I couldn't even figure out how to get this damn tie on without Mom helping me." "At least you guys got pants. Dresses just plain suck!" "Aww, don't you like being a beautiful girl?" Jake teased. "You're just a cute little sissy!" Anne groaned and rolled her eyes. "Oh please, you're more a of sissy than I am. You can't even beat me at arm wrestling." Jake laughed and grinned back at her, "At least I don't have to wear a dress." Anne gritted her teeth and began to growl. "Nick, do something before I kill our dear brother." Nick sighed, "Jake, come on man, quit teasing her. Besides, you're the LAST person who should be making fun of someone for something they have to wear." She turned back to her twin brother, "Yeah, diaper-butt!" "Hey! Not so loud!" Jake blushed and sank down in his seat, then scanned the nearby tables to see if anyone else had heard. He didn't appreciate his siblings blabbing out loud about that. "At least I don't have to wear them in front of people!" "Yeah? Well at least I'm not a big baby bedwetter!" "Argh, NICK!" "Would both of you just shut the hell up?" Nick rubbed his eyebrows. He was getting increasingly annoyed with both his younger siblings. "It's bad enough that I have to be here, I don't want to put up with you two bickering at each other too. Now hush!" The twins huffed, but finally stopped arguing. The three siblings sat and ate their meals in silence, though the younger two continued to exchange glares at each other. Jake was still seething. His sister had taken it WAY too far by bringing up his night-time problem. He was determined to get even. Scooping up some potatoes on his fork, he waited until she was distracted and then flung them at her. The flying potatoes smacked Anne right in the face. She wiped them off with her arm and then slammed her fists down. "Alright, THAT'S IT!" She lunged across the table at her twin brother. Startled, he managed to jump up and narrowly avoided being grabbed. Once she pushed herself back up, she jumped out and ran around the side of the table. Jake took off in the opposite direction, trying his best to keep his distance. "AHHH!" he screamed, racing around the table to keep it between him and her. "NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK! HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!" But his older brother just ignored him. Nick continued to chew his food, then calmly took a sip from his drink. With his mouth clear, he finally gave a nonchalant answer. "I told you to leave her alone. You brought this on yourself." Anne stopped for a second to kick off her dress shoes. Trying to run in them was almost impossible, she'd be much faster now that she was barefoot. She lifted the front of her dress and ran straight at the picnic table, jumping up and climbing right over it to close the gap to her troublesome twin. As she landed, he fled from the dining area, desperate to get away. "GET BACK HERE!" Jake ran until he encountered a wall of bushes. Looking over his shoulder, he could see his sister charging straight at him. Not knowing what else to do, he turned and kept running. However, he soon encountered another bush wall, leaving him with nowhere to run. He was cornered, and the only way out was blocked by a seriously pissed off little girl. "Um-m-m-m-m, Anne!" He put out his hands to keep his distance. "You're not a sissy girl! I was just mad when I said that! I'm sorry, okay!" "Oh you're gonna be!" Anne was past wanting to settle this with words. She cracked her knuckles and balled both hands into fists. Her brother may have had a plate full of food back at the table, but she was about to give him a sandwich. A knuckle sandwich. -- She leaped forward and tackled him to the ground, then put him in a headlock. "Ahhhhh! Anne, stop!" Jake screamed, "I said I'm sorry!" She shoved his head to the ground, giving him a face full of dirt. Then she grabbed his arm and started stretching it behind his back. "OWOWOWOWOW ANNE! PLEASE!" "Anne, let him go..." Nick came walking over, still sounding bored. "I think he's had enough." "What's going on over here!?" Their mom came running, seeing the twins yelling and fighting in the grass. "Nick, you were supposed to look after them!" "Me? I didn't even want to be here! They're YOUR kids!" - Mom comes over, gets mad that they're making a scene. She asks Nick why he didn't stop them from fighting. "Hey, I only agreed to babysit if I got to stay home. They're not my responsibility here." "Can we go home now?"
