The forest was lovely today. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the place smelled wonderful. To those within, however, the day was proving most memorable due to the presence of an outsider, one who's footfalls echoed wildly amongst the trees, as the bark of many a great oak fell victim to its powerful stride, leaving great gaps in the woods. The outsider barely noticed, however, his hands in his jacket pockets, as he walked around the woods, his large shoes, made for such duty, allowing him to ignore most of what was under his feet, save a few nice powerful trees that snapped in a way that made his spine tingle a little, as his antenna waved in the air with a whirl: the thrill of excitement. Mind, he was, in fact, a bit bored being here. Nature was fun and all, but his friends were supposed to have picked him up from this drop point a while back, a few minutes ago actually, and he was beginning to regret asking for the drop off here, rather than on some civilized world, even if crunching the local flora, and some of the fauna, under his shoes was nice. It was during his fourth circle through the woods that something caught his eye below. It wasn't a four-legged thing like normal, but something with two legs, which was having a set of arms up at him, mouth open, obviously shouting, making the xenosapien take a bit of interest in him, as he marched around, trying to look like he hadn't heard the cry. He got a smile on his lips as one of his steps, close to where the thing was, caused it to flail its arms, and fall to the forest floor, looking like some kind of bug, as it scampered its limbs in the air for a moment, before flipping over, and then crying out as he deliberately moved his foot above it, the sole of his shoe filling the thing’s view of the sky, as he slowly brought it down. Justin was careful, more so than he needed to be, to bring it down only fast enough to cause the thing to panic, watching the sides of his shoe for it, and only as he saw it pass just from beneath, did he put all his weight on it at once, slamming the foot down hard enough to leave a deep impression in the dirt, and tossing the small thing about. It was as he watched it sail that something in his pocket beeped, and he took out his comm, to find his ride was here, and idly, he looked down at the thing, and up into the sky, where he could just make out the shape of the ship in orbit, ready to get him, and he could just leave, letting the little guy go about his life, speaking of this to those other tiny beings. But Justin wasn't done playing yet, and pulling his foot back out of his shoe, he reached down, and then pinched the small being between his fingers, lifting it up and tossing it inside, before gently placing his foot back within, pressing his sole onto the tiny creature, which squirmed and wriggled in that delightful way of such things, even as he vanished, his new toy coming with him on his journey...and maybe, if it survived, he'd bring it back. Justin was on the ship between one second and the next, his body displacing itself, and leaving him with a bit of an upset stomach for a moment, leading him to groan. He hated teles, but they were the best way to get from ground to orbit for worlds with no skyhooks or the like. Still, after a few seconds grabbing onto the wall to stabilize himself, he was ready to go. He briefly, very much so, forgot about the thing in his shoe, as he walked towards the door, his foot rising upwards, and then feeling something shift under his foot, rolling to the back of the shoe just under his heel, making his eye open a bit, in curiosity, until he recalled that he'd found a toy to play with on the world below, making him pause, just before he brought the shoe to the deck. Leaning to the side, he pulled his foot backwards, and then kicked the toes on the ground causing the shoe to rattle around, and forcing the thing back to the front of his shoe. He felt it move around beneath his sole, making him smile, as tiny fists started pounding on space between his toes, making his eyes glaze over for a moment, as he smiled at it. Curling his toes, he held the tiny thing between them, and then kept walking, letting the sole of his shoes and foot sandwich the thing between them as he walked the ship's halls, finding them, strangely, empty, save for the scent of what was unmistakably controlled substances. Mostly Spice, which made his nose wrinkle a bit as he passed the cabins that had snores coming from them. "This is what I get for pooling with these idiots," he said, reminding himself that this was really his only option for getting around with being forced to buy his own ship. Still, he soon discovered why they were late, when he made it to the drive cabin, the one you piloted the ship from, and found it empty, save for one of the females, passed out with a video player on her face. "Of course," he sighed, moving to one of the two control stations. A few quick checks showed they'd not been flying by hand since he'd left, setting the thing to auto. Probably ran afoul of some black holes or something. He set it to take them home, as he was going to have to be the responsible one it seemed, as he leaned back in his chair, and propped his legs up on the dash. The action rattled around his shoes, causing the tiny thing inside to fall down to his heel, making Justin coo a bit, as the limbs grappled and grabbed at the sole of his foot, tickling the whole way down, before settling into the tight space at the back of the shoe, as Justin himself watched the stars outside grow into lines, as they took off from the thing's world at FTL speeds. For his part, Justin would feel worse about that, swiping a thing from its own place, but really, he was doing it a favor. Nothing exciting would ever happen on a mudball like that. No invasions, no trips to the nearby quasars. A real bum time, he thought. Now that he was Justin's though? This little guy was going to see what a good time really was.
