Kind of a "what do you want to see on Flayrah?" poll. Kind of, in that, let's face it, probably won't effect much, unless you, Dear Reader, become Dear Contributor. Or you can just vote in the poll. I guess that works, too.

Anyway, GreenReaper actually put up last week's poll, and it looks like something called Toriel won as the best Undertale character. I don't know Undertale; that's why I didn't do the poll. However, it seemed pretty popular, so ... what do I know?

It's a video computer game, which is what I voted for here, too. I think we offer an interesting take on them and they're one of the most popular venues for furry characters after cartoons. Of course, they're not everyone's cup of tea.

As for staged events, The Lion King remains wildly popular, and apparently transformation has its fans, but plays about the furry condition itself are a harder sell. It probably doesn't help that furries aren't concentrated anywhere, except for a few days in a year.

Anything just so long as it's not written by crossie.

Hey, anyone can submit.

I've not only not discouraged you from submitting your own stories, I've enthusiastically asked for submissions by you! The offer is, and will always be, still open!

Try it, maybe you'll like it!

(Also, bad news, I'm afraid, but I'm bound and determined to put out a comic book review after work tonight, so, sorry about that.)

Stories? Reviews? You seem to have me confused with Roger Ebert or somesuch -- and even if I was him, you wouldn't get so much as a semi-colon from me.

Start your own blog... it's easy and fun, and nobody's forcing you to read this one if you can't make the effort.

I'm just wondering if you've given so much as a semi-colon to anyone.

Come on, you know what I mean. A story, a review, a thousand word essay on why I suck (actually, that would be enlightening; I'm not even certain what your beef with me is, though Green Reaper would probably have to edit that one). Just a Newsbyte now and then, or, how about a poll, since that's where we are; I've run a weekly poll for the last three weeks, which is also about how long ago I ran out of good poll ideas. If you go with the seperate blog route, ala Patch's suggestion, the Newsbytes or even a whole self promoting article are fine to attempt to get an audience; maybe Green Reaper will add it to the footer. That's not my department, though, so no promises.

But, you know what, I'm glad you're here; for a guy who used to go by the handle desiring_change, you certainly haven't changed much. It kind of helps me realize how I have, and for the better. We've known each other for five years, and the only thing I know you've done is sporadically make anonymous potshots in Flayrah's comments and you closed your FurAffinity account. And, if I recall right, you've been banned from basically every "furry drama" group on the Internet at one point or another, because even they can't stand you. Meanwhile, I'm still writing stories and even the "managing editor" here, and you're going to make some comment about "well, obviously this place has gone downhill" or something of that sort and then one-star this comment and probably leave for like two months before you furtively start posting negative anonymous comments again because you have nowhere else to go. And because it's what you always do. Every time. Never ever changing. So, see you next year, probably.

But, you know what, I think you can change; fuck's sake, you are desiring_change. Nobody picks that handle because they want to remain static; because they don't want to be heard; because they don't care about anything. I know you care, and I'll prove it to you:

You don't capitalize my name. It takes people a while before they notice that, and stop calling me CrossAffliction; you know I'm not CrossAffliction, I'm crossaffliction (and that I like to shorten it to crossie, not crossy). You know I don't capitalize my name, and you care enough, if not about me, then at least about doing something right, and thank you for that. And it's not because you're being lazy and just ignore the rules of the English language, because you don't do that. You don't do that; hell, you just brought up semi-colons. You care about your writing, even in stupid negative comments that nobody likes.

Because you care.

I am looking forward to working with you.

However, the good news (from your perspective is) after that attempt at an inspiring pep talk, I've decided to wait until tomorrow to write the comics review. So you're spared that horror for a few more hours, at least.

I never closed or wiped my FurAffinity account (you just have to be logged in there to see it), and I'm certainly not in a race with you when it comes to (non-existent) talent, status or importance.

"I am looking forward to working with you."

Oh, fuck off.
